Project Positivity – Think Positive™ thoughts with Adam Markel

WOW 2013 is starting out with a bang! While at a success seminar put on in San Antonio at the Alamo Dome near the end of 2012, I was told about an upcoming event called The Millionaire Mind Intensive. We were told about it from one of the many speakers, Mr. Adam Markel. I knew that if I ever caught up with him, I would have to acknowledge his positive attitude with a Positive Pin™.  The purpose the success seminar was to train and help catapult people into success for 2013, and hopefully the rest of their lives.  We saw and heard such notable speakers as Les Brown (one of my personal favorites), Larry King, Suze Orman and Bill Cosby to name a few.  The seminar was very enlightening in many ways, most notably how I looked at success, money and my personal views about being successful.

I decided to sign up for The Millionaire Mind Intensive put on by Peak Potentials and lead by the CEO and master trainer Mr. Adam Markel, and I am glad I did. Wow, what a powerhouse he was. He was fighting a cold the whole weekend, but you’d never know it if he wasn’t popping cough lozenges and blowing his nose.  He was full of positive energy and a dynamic person all together.  During one of the breaks I asked him if I could have a minute of his time to get his “secret” on how he stays positive. The funny thing is that they aren’t secrets at all.  Most successful people are willing to share what they do to live a more positive life, in order to give back. Really successful people realize that the more we share, the more we have.

One of the most touching segments at the MMI event was when we broke an arrow on our throats. We placed the silver tip just under our adams apple and the opposite end in the hand of a partner.  We pushed against the silver tip very quickly, and the next thing you know, it snapped! We were warned NEVER to attempt this without the safety and supervision of their staff, and I URGE YOU AS WELL, DO NOT attempt this exercise on your own.  It was scary, but liberating at the same time.  To answer your questions, yes it was a real arrow and no, no one was hurt.  When I saw so many people willing to accept this challenge in order to break through their mental barriers, it really touched me.  I was moved enough to well up in tears.  It was a true and honest break through moment for me.

Another thing that I took away from the training was something that is blatantly obvious, but easily overlooked.  Successful people think and act differently than unsuccessful people do.  Everyones opinion of success is something different, but I think we can all agree that one common thread is happiness.  How do we live happier lives?  I have been trying something that was taught in the seminar, and I have to admit, it works!  I have been waking up with more energy and in a better mood and it’s helped me think positive thoughts.  Watch the video below and see the tips that Adam offers up.  If you’re not as happy as you’d like to be, then just try it.  You have nothing to lose and happiness to gain.
